Gas Boiler Service & Repair in Tallaght

GB Gas Services is based in Kiltipper, so Tallaght is not just an area we cover — it is home. Gareth Bushe, our RGI registered gas installer, has been looking after boilers in Dublin for 25 years, and the homes around Tallaght are the ones we know best.

We cover Tallaght itself together with the neighbourhoods around it: Kiltipper, Firhouse, Knocklyon and Oldbawn. Whether you live in a terrace, a semi-detached house or an apartment, we service, repair and replace gas boilers of every common make, including Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Ideal, Viessmann, Glow-worm and Baxi.

A gas boiler service costs a fixed €140. The engineer runs the boiler, tests the flue gases with a combustion analyser, cleans and inspects the internal parts, checks the gas pressure and then tests everything again before leaving. Most services are finished in under an hour, and you get a written service record for your warranty, home insurance or landlord paperwork.

An annual service is what most boiler manufacturers ask for to keep the warranty valid, and it is the simplest way to catch a small fault before it becomes a breakdown in the middle of winter.

If your heating or hot water has stopped working, a boiler repair is also a fixed €140. If we are servicing the boiler at the same visit, the service and repair together come to €195. We always explain the fault and confirm the price before doing any work.

When an older boiler is no longer worth repairing, we can fit a 2027 A-rated condensing boiler from €2,950 + VAT, including removal of the old boiler, a system flush and commissioning. Finance through humm is available if you would like to spread the cost. Landlords in the area can book a gas safety inspection for €195.

Most people only think about the boiler when it stops. A yearly service is the cheaper option: the engineer can spot worn seals, a weak ignition or a blocked condensate pipe early, while it is still a small job. It also means a registered engineer has checked that the boiler is burning safely and that flue gases are leaving the house as they should.

Because we live and work locally, it is easy to keep your boiler on a regular yearly routine with the same engineer. Many Tallaght customers simply ring us around the same time each year to book the next service, and we keep the visit straightforward: we arrive, do the work properly, explain anything we found and leave the area clean. If the boiler needs a part or a closer look, we tell you before we do anything.

Call or WhatsApp us on 0872 855 624, or send us a free quote request through the contact form and choose a preferred date. Tell us your area, the make of your boiler and what is happening with it, and we will arrange a time that suits you.
